Theater Production

Together with their director, Mrs. Elaine Sepani, Stuttgart Players is a group of young American performers who produce iconic works of musical theater, plays, and staged vocal concerts in various event venues in Stuttgart, Germany.

Elaine Sepani holds a BA in Theater Arts from UCLA in the United States and has 25+years of experience in vocal music and children’s/family theater from her youth. She was classically trained at Elizabeth Howard Vocal Power Academy in Los Angeles and coached by Broadway singer and actress, Jennie Kwan. Mrs. Sepani is a vocal coach for youth with expertise in musical theater and a voice actress and audiobook narrator with titles on Amazon Audible and various platforms. She was the Director of Performing Arts at Christian Life Academy International School Stuttgart from 2021-2023. She is passionate about creating Performing Arts curriculums for youth and producing Children’s Theater. Productions she has directed include, “The Sound of Music Youth Edition,” “Lion King Spectacular,” “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe,” “The Little Mermaid Jr.,” The Prince of Egypt vocal concert,” and “Newsies Jr.”

Performing Arts Education

Students learn fundamentals of drama, classical voice, dance and fight choreography, set/prop and costume design as well as participate in every aspect of the production process. Every program’s curricullum is tailor-made to enrich the production and accomodate the needs of students. For example, some lessons and projects have included West African djembe drumming, beginner’s Kung Fu martial arts, acting through song, building character, voice acting for audio production, sound and lighting design, prop design, and staged Elizabethan sword-fighting.

Those who show interest in particular areas of performance or theatrical design are guided in developing their talents through leadership opportunities and hands-on projects. At Stuttgart Players, student-directors, choreographers, designers, production crew, and performers alike take center stage!

I believe the art of theater is essentially creative play with it’s experts being children. I invite their imaginations and ideas into the production. They own it with me.”

Why Performing Arts?

The Educational Benefits of Musical Theater

Having a regular creative outlet is not just part of a well rounded education – it is essential for a child’s emotional health and well being. Producing a show brings the arts together and provides growth opportunities for all varieties of learners. For example, kinesthetic learners engage their bodies through dance, linguistic learners dive into the written and spoken word, spatial learners tackle set and costume design, and musical learners revel in the show’s score. Besides being incredibly fun, musical theatre helps young people develop many of the skills necessary for success in today’s world.
